Job Requirements

Be 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
have previous retail or customer service experience
be able to operate front end equipment
be dependable and reliable
have good communication skills
be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
be able to move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 lbs
be available to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
have attention to detail and be proficient in math and cash handling

Job Qualifications

Be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
previous experience in retail customer service or sales environment
1-2 years of cashier experience preferred
have a positive attitude and ability to interact positively with customers
be able to operate front end equipment such as register calculator and scanner
be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
have good communication skills and team participation ability
be able to lift carry product horizontally vertically weighing up to 30 lbs
be able to use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring force up to 35 lbs
have strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers including cash handling and math skills

Job Duties

Oversee self-checkout units ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service
assist customers with scanning weighing bagging and payment
serve multiple customers at once and anticipate issues before they occur
answer questions and assist with large items scanning weighing and payment issues
monitor scanning activity to ensure scanning accuracy
invite customers to use self-checkout lanes especially during lines forming in other lanes
maintain knowledge of weekly ad items promotions and events providing direction of product location
ensure that self-checkout areas are clean and orderly
thank customers as they leave the self-checkout area
