Job Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of experience in retail customer service or sales preferred
- Be able to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Be physically able to lift up to 30 lbs carry items and push grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs of force
- Have basic proficiency with front end equipment operation and cash handling
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain a positive attitude and customer-focused demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Have previous retail customer service or sales experience 1-2 years of cashier experience preferred
- Possess a positive attitude and ability to interact positively with customers
- Be able to operate front end equipment such as registers calculators and scanners
- Be dependable and able to work flexible schedules including nights weekends and holidays
- Have strong communication skills and ability to follow directions in a team environment
- Be able to lift and carry products up to 30 lbs and push grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs of force
- Have strong attention to detail proficiency with numbers cash handling and math skills
Job Duties
- Oversee self-checkout units ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service
- Assist customers with scanning weighing bagging and payment ensuring a smooth process
- Serve multiple customers simultaneously and anticipate issues
- Answer customer questions and resolve scanning weighing or payment issues
- Monitor scanning activity to ensure accuracy
- Invite customers to use self-checkout lanes especially during busy times
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of self-checkout area and perform related duties
