Job Requirements
- Be 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- previous experience in retail customer service or sales environment
- able to operate front end equipment such as register calculator and scanner
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
- good communication skills
- able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs and move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 lbs
- strong attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- Be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- previous experience in a retail customer service or sales environment preferred
- cashier experience of 1-2 years preferred
- positive attitude and ability to interact positively with customers
- able to operate front end equipment such as register calculator and scanner
- dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights weekends and holidays
- good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- able to lift and carry products weighing up to 30 lbs from 36 to 24 inches for distances up to 3 feet without mechanical assistance
- able to use both hands to move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 lbs for distances up to 4 feet
- strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers including cash handling and mathematical skills
Job Duties
- Oversee self-checkout units ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service
- assist customers as they scan weigh bag and pay for their own items ensuring a smooth and seamless process
- serve multiple customers at once and anticipate issues before they occur
- answer questions and assist with issues such as large items scanning weighing and payment problems
- monitor scanning activity to ensure scanning accuracy
- invite Sprouts customers to use self-checkout lanes especially during busy times
- maintain knowledge of weekly ad items promotions and events and provide direction of product location
- ensure self-checkout areas are maintained clean and orderly and execute related duties as assigned
- thank customers as they leave the self-checkout area
