Job Requirements

  • Valid PERC card
  • 20-hour unarmed training record
  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum 2 years of professional security experience or 2 years of military experience or 2 years post high school academic training in a related field
  • transportation worker identification credential (TWIC) with employer assistance
  • driver’s license for some posts
  • reliable transportation
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong verbal and written English communication skills

Job Duties

  • Represent the company in a courteous and professional manner
  • prepare, issue and maintain visitor badges
  • activate/deactivate employee badges
  • maintain sign-in logs
  • conduct briefcase searches
  • sort incoming mail by department
  • process outgoing and incoming visit requests for the security department
  • update and maintain facility security clearances
  • secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, inspecting buildings, equipment and access points
  • read and write in English to complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities
  • prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures
  • contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • enforce security policies and procedures at all events
