Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 3 months experience in security related field
- Guest service experience
- First aid CPR certification or completion of CPR within reasonable amount of time from hire date
- Basic understanding of security policies and procedures
- Ability to log factual information received from radio and telephone communications
- Ability to operate sophisticated communications and surveillance equipment
- Ability to evaluate non-routine situations and make sound judgments
- Ability to effectively communicate in English with guests, team members, staff and students
- Ability to provide verbal directives
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Ability to perform data entry assignments
- Ability to compose written documents in English
- Ability to complete forms and documents
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignments
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
- Ability to accept constructive criticism
- Ability to sit and stand for up to eight hours at a time
- Ability to appear for work on time

Job Duties
- Provide guest service by assisting internal and external guests by answering questions and providing directions
- Respond to medical aides, criminal activity and documenting incidents
- Coordinate security services by receiving and dispatching calls
- Monitor alarm systems, fire panel, radio activity, entry gates, access control, officer locations and activities
- Dispatch units as needed
- Contact law enforcement agencies and emergency services as needed
- Maintain chronological records of daily events and pass down logs for information transfer
- Protect property assets by monitoring designated parking lots, buildings, stairwells, basement, receiving areas, emergency entrances and exits, entry and exit gates and other related areas equipped with surveillance equipment
- Report irregularities, crimes or unusual activity by visitors and/or team members to appropriate law enforcement agencies when warranted
- Maintain security property parking lots and exterior property by patrolling parking lots, reporting suspicious activity to Tribal Police personnel, and providing a written account of security related activities
- Document incidents in and around property
- Ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic in and around property by directing traffic to appropriate parking or holding areas
- Coordinate special event traffic on and off premises
- Provide jump-starts, and authorize towing/removal of vehicles parked in violation of parking policy
