Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- three to five years experience in security with two years in supervisory capacity
- must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to pass a background check including credit history report
- ability to work long and irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- non-slip shoes required
- must maintain professional appearance
- ability to operate surveillance equipment and telecommunication devices
- must be able to work flexible schedules
Job Qualifications

- pass a background check including credit history report
- three to five years experience in security with at least two years in supervisory capacity
- knowledge of criminal law relating to security enforcement
- ability to enforce policies and procedures of SMG/SCC Security Department
- effective verbal and written communication
- exceptional customer relations and problem-solving skills
- ability to work independently with sound judgment
- ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing situations
- skill in managing delicate situations professionally
- ability to stay calm in emergencies and make critical decisions
- ability to operate motor vehicles, telecommunication systems, radios, and surveillance equipment
- computer skills including MS Office and electronic timekeeping systems, preferably Etime experience
Job Duties
- Assist the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium Security Manager in ensuring security and comfort to tenants, patrons, and employees
- promote customer service and positive public relations within Security Staff
- function effectively in a team environment
- assist with planning operational work requirements of the Security Department
- enforce all building policies and procedures to assure safety and security
- respond to and investigate accidents/incidents on property
- review work performance of subordinate personnel
- recommend disciplinary actions
- assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures and training programs for Command Officers and Event Security
- participate in event planning and coordinate with local law enforcement and first responders
- intervene in disturbances/incidents to maintain peace or restore order
- assist with difficult or emergency operational tasks as required
- monitor and evaluate security operations to ensure productive use of resources
- assist other departments as needed
- multitask effectively
- maintain all aspects of Security Command Office
- supervise Command Officers and Event Security directly
- manage payroll and scheduling for events and daily operations
- maintain professional appearance and enforce company standards
- work irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- perform other duties as assigned
