Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have experience as a team leader or supervisor
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required
- Must be able to walk 5 to 7 miles per shift both indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to deadlift at least 50 pounds and walk 50 feet
- Physical stamina to climb fourteen stories of stairs
- Must remain on campus during inclement weather
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Must hold a current valid driver’s license
- Flu vaccinated
- COVID-19 vaccination preferred
Job Qualifications
- Experience in emergency dispatch, safety and risk management preferred
- Experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Ability to perform CPR and maintain Heartsaver AED and First Aid certification
- Knowledge of security and loss control functions and techniques
- Familiarity with fact-finding and incident reporting techniques
- Problem-solving and analytical skills in safety and behavior change
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google applications
- Demonstrated ability to work with mature populations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current valid driver’s license
- Flu vaccinated
Job Duties
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures semi-annually
- Maintain records of required licensing and certifications of security personnel
- Ensure timely renewal of licenses and/or certifications
- Develop and manage departmental budget
- Ensure monthly inspection of fire extinguishers and conduct monthly fire drills
- Perform monthly Eye Wash Station inspection
- Ensure weekly fire inspection of fire doors and sprinkler systems and quarterly fire inspections including sprinklers, penetration audit, fire/smoke door inspections, and fire department connection inspection
- Schedule semi-annual certification fire suppression system, exhaust hood cleaning, inspection electrical equipment auto filters, eye wash station cleaning, and fire blanket inspection
- Follow procedures for fire emergencies and evacuation of residents and patients
- Handle and assist with all safety violations and report according to procedures
- Develop and train staff on proper procedures for portable radio communications
- Monitor issuance of parking tickets and assign parking spaces for residents
- Responsible for valet service during full visitor parking and special events
- Participate in weekly and inter-departmental meetings
- Oversee surveillance camera operations and maintenance
- Manage access and key control including daily logs of key tracer machines
- Perform all other duties as assigned
