Job Requirements
- Minimum three years experience in security services or law enforcement
- At least one year supervisory or leadership experience
- State of Hawaii Guard Card
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- Ability to perform under stressful or emergency conditions
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests, staff, and law enforcement
- Physical ability to perform patrols and respond to incidents
- Proficiency with computer software
- Preferred OSHA training certification
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years experience in security services or law enforcement
- At least one year experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Previous experience in hotel or customer service highly desirable
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to safety and security
- Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- OSHA training certification preferred
- State of Hawaii Guard Card required
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work under stressful or emergency conditions
- Confidentiality and discretion
- Familiarity with hotel services and features
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures
Job Duties
- Provide a safe and secure hotel environment by safeguarding premises to deter harm or property loss
- Monitor and patrol buildings and grounds to ensure no unauthorized activity occurs
- Observe all individuals entering and exiting premises
- Utilize surveillance cameras and monitor incoming and outgoing traffic
- Engage police department assistance when necessary
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems for proper function and compliance
- Assist with hotel safety and loss prevention efforts including accident reporting and emergency response
- Address emergencies promptly including medical and fire emergencies
- Maintain visitor logs and monitor external visitors and vendors
- Oversee administration of the hotel key control program
- Enforce employee entrance, exit, and bag check policies
- Collaborate with outsourced parking company to enforce parking policies
- Report all policy violations to Director of Safety and Security and produce detailed reports
- Supervise contracted security staff including training, scheduling, and disciplinary actions
- Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating hotel safety and security Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
