Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Understand that qualified applications with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations
- Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in security or related field preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of security practices and procedures
Job Duties
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and its perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the financial institution to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols
- Assist employees, visitors, and/or customers with directions, information, and general inquiries as needed
- Collaborate with site management and local law enforcement as directed in the event of emergencies or critical incidents
