Job Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- understanding of the rule of law and relevant penal codes
- ability to represent the Security Department in an exemplary manner
- ability to perform effectively in crises and work under pressure without loss of composure
- ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information
- ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons and employees during aggravated circumstances
- ability to walk, stand, lift at least 45 lbs, reach, pull, push, grasp and drag
- ability to work overnight between 7 PM - 7 AM
Job Qualifications

- flexibility to work overnight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
Job Duties
- Watch for irregularities such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations
- contact emergency responders such as police, fire, and ambulance personnel as required
- remain alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and security code violators
- approach suspicious persons and notify police as appropriate
- patrol assigned areas on foot or in motor vehicle
- examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security
- monitor closed buildings for unauthorized persons and suspicious activities
- ensure safety and security of patrons, employees, and assets
- conduct regular patrols of the building
- respond to all security and safety-related calls timely
- exhibit exemplary conduct and appearance
- comply with department's performance, conduct, and attendance standards
- perform various duties shifting between tasks efficiently
- follow legal and ethical instructions from Security Supervisors and Manager of Security
- adhere to Security department's policies and procedures
- investigate and compile accurate incident reports
- complete assigned tasks within guidelines and deadlines
- interact courteously and professionally with patrons, vendors, and employees
- perform other duties as assigned
