Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in security or hospitality roles preferred
- capable of performing physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods
- strong communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
- must adhere to legal and company standards
- flexible availability to work shifts including nights and weekends
- must maintain confidentiality
- able to work well independently and as part of a team
- willing to undergo background checks and required training
- commitment to maintaining safety and security standards
- must follow company policies and procedures
- physical fitness to execute security duties
- ability to use security equipment and technology effectively
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- flexible to work long hours when required
- ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and stand during entire shifts
- ability to climb and descend stairs and run
- physically capable of deterring threatening individuals
- maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- strong listening and problem-solving abilities

Job Duties
- Use proper radio etiquette at all times
- maintain visual contact with the front desk/night auditor and front door by remaining in the lobby area when not patrolling
- maintain and review daily activity log
- maintain confidentiality regarding guest and employee incidents
- hold briefings with guest services staff at the beginning and end of shifts
- check identification of visitors and employees as necessary
- access secured areas for authorized personnel
- maintain awareness of legal limitations pertaining to local, state, and federal ordinances
- assist guests to their rooms or with entry according to hotel standards
- assist during medical emergencies
- respond to emergency situations including medical, security, and guest complaints
- investigate assault complaints
- assist outside agencies as necessary
- respond to altercations and conduct investigations
- understand hotel and guestroom locking systems
- monitor television cameras if applicable
- administer first aid/CPR as necessary
- challenge suspicious persons
- check for safety hazards
- complete incident/accident reports clearly and concisely
- monitor employees entering and exiting the building
- conduct investigations related to property losses, accidents, illnesses, and crimes
- document all deliveries
- patrol to ensure areas are secure and free of unauthorized persons
- provide escorts for persons carrying money or other requests
- issue and inventory pagers, radio equipment, and keys daily if applicable
