Job Requirements
- Driver's license
- ability to work every weekend from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- physical ability to conduct patrols and respond to emergencies

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in security or receptionist role preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- proficiency with switchboard and basic security equipment
- good observational skills
- customer service orientation
- basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Scans monitors at work station and surrounding area frequently to ensure safety and security of residents, staff, visitors, follows department procedures including badge checks and logs
- makes guard tours at proper times, alerts for wandering or confused residents, reports emergencies immediately, records occurrences and maintenance needs
- responds as trained to fire alarms and emergency situations, ensures emergency assistance arrives
- responds to calls for service and disruptive or emergency situations, investigates, assures order, resolves problems, submits reports, directs traffic, enforces parking compliance
- operates switchboard efficiently, answers calls promptly and courteously, pages and makes announcements, takes and refers messages accurately, contacts correct personnel for crises response
- greets visitors and vendors, offers directions and assistance, calls department to inform of visitor presence if appropriate
