Job Requirements

  • Must have a current State of Georgia driver’s license with a good driving history
  • Must obtain certification in National Safety Council Defensive Driving within one year of employment
  • Must obtain American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certification within one year of employment
  • Must obtain International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security certification within one year
  • Must obtain Defensive Tactics certification within one year and recertify annually
  • Must obtain ASP Tactical Baton and OC Pepper Spray certification within one year
  • A minimum of high school graduate or equivalent
  • Should have a minimum of one year of security, police, or military experience

  • Minimum one year of security, police, or military experience
  • Healthcare security experience is a plus
  • Valid State of Georgia driver’s license with a good driving history
  • Ability to obtain required defensive driving and safety certifications within one year
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and tactful behavior in sensitive situations

Job Duties

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, and visitors
  • Maintain safe traffic flow in the Emergency Center Area by assisting with valet service
  • Obtain and maintain certifications in defensive driving, CPR, healthcare safety and security, defensive tactics, tactical baton, and pepper spray
  • Respond professionally and tactfully in sensitive situations
  • Demonstrate mental alertness, social responsiveness, and intellectual honesty
  • Uphold a professional appearance, language, attitude, and behavior
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare security protocols and procedures
