Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- be able to undergo a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- undergo drug screening as permitted by law
- licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment
- possess a valid driver's license for driving positions only
- willingness to work part-time shifts, including days on Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM respectively
- comfortable using a computer or tablet
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
Job Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in security or similar roles is preferred but not required
- basic computer skills to use Claim a Shift platform and site-specific technology
- effective communication and customer service skills
- ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- knowledge of standard security protocols and procedures
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
- guard card or license is preferred
Job Duties
- Control access to the location by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific procedures
- monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of protocols
- provide customer service to all individuals entering the premises, answering questions and offering directions as needed
- respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following proper notification and escalation procedures
- conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns
- document observations and security-related incidents according to Allied Universal and client protocols
- support emergency response activities as directed, assisting with the implementation of site policies and procedures
- maintain awareness of site-specific policies, especially those related to food and beverage environments, and uphold them throughout assigned duties
