Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in law enforcement, military police or related security field
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to obtain Class D Security License within 120 days
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 180 days
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required
- Availability to work 24/7 security shifts including nights and weekends
- Strong physical fitness to perform patrols and security duties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate security and office equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience in law enforcement, military police or related security field or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training approved by Human Resources
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to obtain Class D Security License within 120 days
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 180 days
- Knowledge of basic principles and practices of corporate security
- Understanding of security threats, emergency protocols, and electronic security systems
- Familiarity with Florida State Statutes pertaining to security
- Ability to recognize dangerous substances and devices
- Skilled in crowd management and life safety standards
- Proficient in inspecting buildings and grounds, identifying incidents, and responding appropriately
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Capability to handle stressful situations and provide customer service calmly and professionally
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply policies effectively
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Job Duties
- Provide physical security and protection of personnel and assets
- Patrol assigned buildings and grounds to deter criminal acts and other nefarious activities
- Monitor associate and visitor movements on property
- Investigate and record reported incidents accurately
- Report safety and fire hazards observed during routine patrols and inspections
- Verify employee and visitor parking decals and enforce parking regulations
- Provide nighttime escorts to associates as requested
- Assist stranded motorists using discretionary judgment to provide aid
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies
- Serve as a member of fire control and emergency evacuation teams
- Issue and assign building keys and security access cards
- Assist with special events security as needed
- Recommend enhancements in security methods and procedures to management
- Follow established protocols in handling threats such as bomb threats or terrorism
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of security incidents
- Maintain proficiency in all assigned security tasks
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
