Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in security management preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical fitness to perform security duties
  • strong observation and attention to detail
  • ability to handle emergency situations calmly
  • proficiency in relevant security technologies

Job Qualifications

  • experience in the hospitality industry
  • strong leadership and managerial skills
  • knowledge of security operations and safety protocols
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to train and mentor staff
  • familiarity with OSHA standards
  • problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • ability to coordinate with multiple hotel departments

Job Duties

  • establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
  • offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the company's standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
  • interview, select, review, and counsel security officers to maintain order throughout the hotel
  • train new employees according to all corporate specifications, including documentation
  • assign duties and schedule staff, balancing needs of hotel and productivity standards
  • monitor staff activity and coach subordinate performance
  • watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting, or loitering around building
