Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid State of Hawaii Guard Card
- Full availability seven days a week including early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays
- Strong verbal, written and technology skills
- Keyboarding skills 25 WPM
- Ability to perform general clerical duties
- Self-directed and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Maintain strong observation skills
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Experience as a first responder including hotel/resort security, military basic training, loss prevention, or high pressure situational experience such as EMT, firefighter, or flight attendant
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong verbal, written and technology skills
- Keyboarding skills of 25 WPM
- Investigation skills
- Ability to perform general clerical duties using Microsoft Office and site-specific programs
- Good sense of direction and ability to memorize resort layout
- Self-directed and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong observation skills with high level of detail and scrutiny
- Preferred associate degree or higher in criminal justice, private investigations, homeland security, emergency management or emergency medical services
- Knowledge of Hawaii Revised Statutes relevant to hotel/resort security
- Knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language
Job Duties
- Perform protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and professional manner dealing with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, threats to life and property
- Serve as a first responder trained in CPR, AED, Stop The Bleed, and fire extinguisher procedures
- Conduct interior and exterior resort foot patrols to identify undesirable conditions
- Evaluate situations and make logical decisions while maintaining calm demeanor
- Perform investigations including scene evaluation, interviewing complainants and witnesses, and involving correct personnel
- Write documentation and reports
- Maintain order while attending to the needs of guests, cast members and vendors
- Coordinate expedient responses to emergency conditions such as fire, alarms, safety hazards and threats
- Handle violations of resort policy, civil laws and undesired conduct
- Work with state of the art technology to detect and respond to safety systems
- Provide cash escorts
- Respond to security and emergency calls prioritizing work timely
- Use complex consoles to receive calls and dispatch assistance maintaining logs
- Provide key assist
- Issue contractor and visitor badges
- Monitor CCTV system for unusual activity and dispatch via two-way radio
- Provide accurate information to guests, cast members and vendors
- Record and secure found property and respond to guest inquiries
- Escort guests and cast members to parking lots
- Perform other assigned duties
