Job Qualifications

  • must be comfortable with a multi-line telephone system, answering, taking messages and transferring calls

Job Duties

  • Provide positive first impression to all who enter the community
  • answer and screen all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner, routing calls and taking messages as appropriate
  • greet all visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
  • screen and require visitors to sign in at reception desk and manage entry and exit
  • notify residents of visitors
  • instruct resident's visitor according to resident's instructions
  • assist managers with various clerical responsibilities
  • page staff wearing beepers, as necessary
  • hand out maintenance request forms and pass them onto environmental services director
  • keep front desk and lobby area neat and organized
  • be familiar with and follow all emergency and safety equipment including security cameras, phones, and life safety systems
  • secure all areas of the building, checking for open doors and any unusual activity
  • make frequent scheduled rounds of interior and exterior of community during shift and address any issues presented
  • respond to emergencies as directed and per policy
  • complete assigned housekeeping and light maintenance tasks as assigned
  • follow shift task assignments as provided
  • understand all safety policies and procedures
  • communicate effectively with business office manager and other staff
  • immediately advise business office manager, maintenance director and general manager of any changes in physical and/or mental health of resident as well as any physical plant or other safety emergencies
  • perform other duties as necessary
