Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or higher in criminal justice, security management, or related field preferred
  • Must have no criminal record
  • Experience in military, industrial security, law enforcement, emergency services, or corrections considered
  • Must be customer service oriented
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be physically and mentally able to assist with the control of violent and/or disruptive patients, visitors and staff
  • Must have full visual, audio, and vocal acuity
  • Must be able to work all shifts
  • Prior experience in hospital security, customer service, or healthcare environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process for staff, patients, and guests
  • Answer phone calls, directing inquiries to appropriate personnel
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect suspicious activity
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identities and issuing visitor badges
  • Respond promptly to security alarms and incidents, documenting occurrences accurately
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
