Job Requirements
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Provide documentation of high school diploma or GED
- Hold a state security license (BSIS Guard Card)
- Possess or be willing to complete 32-hour BSIS security training
- Have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
- Be able to pass an extensive screening process
- Must be fully flexible and available to work any shift including days, swing, and overnight
- Availability on weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and think on feet
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- State security license (BSIS Guard Card)
- Additional 32-hour BSIS security training or willingness to obtain during hiring
- Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass extensive screening process
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Security, military, or law enforcement experience is an asset
- Flexible availability for all shifts including weekends and holidays
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Duties
- Patrol designated rail yards, facilities, and surrounding property using a company vehicle
- Conduct perimeter checks and monitor access points to prevent unauthorized entry
- Inspect fences, gates, railcars, and buildings for tampering or suspicious activity
- Deter theft, vandalism, and criminal activity through visible presence
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
- Write detailed incident and activity reports
- Ensure compliance with client safety protocols and federal regulations
- Monitor and report hazardous conditions impacting rail operations or safety
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after use
- Verify identities and control access to secure areas
- React quickly to threats or incidents
- Check proper functioning of alarms and cameras
- Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
