Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Denver Security Guard License preferred
  • Strong knowledge of security and monitoring systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to de-escalate situations calmly
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Physical ability to occasionally handle objects up to 40 pounds
  • Fluent in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent or 2 years of verifiable experience
  • Valid Denver Security Guard License is preferred
  • Prior work experience involving autonomous customer interaction, troubleshooting and calm management of stressful situations
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of multi-extension, multi-line telephone systems
  • Strong working knowledge of security and monitoring systems, including alarm systems
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Makes periodic exterior and interior security rounds of the building
  • Screens visitors, clients, team members and residents to expedite admittance
  • Greets and gives directions or information to residents, visitors, guests and vendors
  • Addresses security related complaints and ensures proper documentation
  • Orally and physically de-escalates individuals as needed and preserves order
  • Responds to incidents such as fire, medical emergency, flooding, elevator emergency, hazardous materials or inclement weather
  • Communicates effectively to management about any unusual activity
  • Screens incoming calls, takes messages and/or forwards calls appropriately
  • Maintains records, prepares reports and performs clerical tasks
  • Monitors emergency computer and alarm systems
  • Receives and processes work orders for the community
  • Provides effective and courteous service to residents, guests and co-workers
  • Performs other duties as assigned
