Job Requirements
- Must be a local (in-state) resident
- ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- ability to pass up to a 10-year background check
- must be at least 18 years of age
- must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- must complete SIDA training if needed to obtain airport authority identification security
- must have valid CA Security Guard Card
- open minded and ready to work as part of a detail-oriented team
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of relevant experience preferred
- valid CA Security Guard Card
- completion of SIDA training if needed
- excellent customer service skills
- strong work ethic
- ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- organizational and time management skills
- ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- effective verbal and radio communication skills
- knowledge of security principles and practices
Job Duties
- Write clear and concise reports
- screen visitors, couriers and contractors prior to entering building or boarding aircraft
- conduct random employee body scan and bag check on all passengers
- conduct random ETD checks
- patrol and document security related inquiries from employees and the general public
- take reports of criminal or suspicious activities dealing with company’s property, personnel or operations
- advise management team of any emergency or security incident
- inventory keys, radios and other equipment and issue keys to contractors
- perform other security related assignments as needed
