Job Requirements
- Must be a registered security guard with the NY Department of State
- Must complete FBI fingerprint check (SIDA Badge) and a 10-year background check
- Must have no convictions for FAA disqualifying crimes
- Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Willingness to work in cold temperatures
- Ability to work non-standard hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Possess written and oral communication skills in English
- Experience in security or relevant field preferred but not required
- Ability to work non-standard hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
Job Duties
- Inspect airline equipment and check for unauthorized items
- Screen cargo using customer-designated equipment and methods
- Perform aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding, and gate guarding per customer specifications
- Observe and monitor unit activities and facility surroundings when not performing inspection or validation duties
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Report to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager based on unit size
- Work under oversight of Lead or Senior Lead depending on unit size
