Job Requirements
- Must be a registered security guard with the NY Department of State
- Completion of FBI fingerprint check (SIDA Badge) and confirmed 10-year background check
- No convictions of FAA disqualifying crimes
- Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly
- At least 18 years old
- Hold a valid U.S. driver's license
- Willingness to work in cold temperatures
- Availability to work non-standard hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in written and oral English communication
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Registered Security Guard with the NY Department of State
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral English
- Experience in security or related fields preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Inspects airline equipment and checks for unauthorized items
- Screens cargo using designated equipment and methods according to customer specifications
- Performs aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding, and gate guarding as per customer requirements
- Observes and monitors unit activity and facility surroundings when not conducting inspections
- Performs all other duties assigned by management
- Reports to Operations Supervisor or Manager depending on unit size
- Coordinates activities under Lead or Senior Lead oversight depending on unit size
