Job Requirements

  • Food Manager certification from prior work experience or complete Philz Coffee Food Manager certification within first 30 days
  • Ability to operate variety of machines, tools, and equipment
  • Visual acuity to observe safety and work accuracy
  • Ability to remain stationary for minimum of 3 hours
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and repetitively lift 3 pounds to shoulder height
  • Ability to grasp, finger, and reach
  • Ability to express or exchange information verbally

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience managing fast-paced, high-volume customer service business preferably in food service or retail
  • Proven experience managing financial health of retail operations including P&L oversight, revenue driving and cost management
  • Ability to create inclusive and dynamic team environment
  • Proactive self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
  • Solid business acumen
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate, train and retain a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Provide frontline leadership to all team members
  • Manage the financial health of the store including P&L oversight
  • Establish and cultivate a culture aligned with Philz core values
  • Roll up sleeves to interact daily with customers and employees
  • Create an employment experience that supports professional development
  • Set goals and expectations for team members and manage performance
  • Partner with district recruiters to attract and retain diverse, high-performing talent
