Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year cooking experience
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in hot environments
  • Ability to work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Must be able to frequently immerse hands in water and chemical solutions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Experience with high volume or fast casual dining preferred
  • Food knowledge pertaining to soups, sauté, broiler, fry and pantry
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to manager on duty and servers
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment
  • Measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
