Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
- At least one month of related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to perform basic math operations involving money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable rates
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Must be able to work a seasonal schedule approximately 20 hours per week Monday through Friday between 6AM and 4:30PM
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of intended work or a commutable distance
- One month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective one-on-one and small group communication skills
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with units of American money
- Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- Understanding of rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is highly desirable
Job Duties
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor using their last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles carefully driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxi services, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about facility amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after securing vehicle keys and collect claim checks before returning keys
- Complete and maintain accurate ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue as necessary
