Job Requirements
- A passion for providing extraordinary service
- At least 16 years of age or at least 18 years of age in deli, bakery, produce departments
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods without a break
- Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks unless under age 18
- Willingness to wear approved hat, hair net, beard guard, and personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- Experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to safely handle food products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow safety and uniform standards
Job Duties
- Consistently provide excellent guest service including engaging with guests to understand their wants and needs to help create meal solutions
- Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items and work across departments to assist guests
- Safely handle food products for sampling to guests
- Create a hospitable shopping experience by merchandising and stocking products and specialty items throughout the day
- Properly weigh and scan products, handle cash, and provide change where appropriate
- Gather shopping carts from the parking lot and assist in general housekeeping duties throughout the store
- Slice and prepare a variety of meats, cheeses, and convenient meal solutions while maintaining quality product levels
