Job Requirements

  • Minimum nineteen years of age by the first day of Summer Day Camp
  • Provide one or more verification letters documenting at least 455 hours of paid or volunteer work with youth in a group
  • Ability to swim in deep water
  • Ability to administer first aid and medications
  • Complete pre-employment steps including interviews, reference checks, and background checks
  • Commitment to at least eight of the nine camp weeks
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, running, jumping, and lifting up to 25 lbs, occasionally 50 lbs with assistance

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum nineteen years of age by the first day of Summer Day Camp
  • Verification of at least 455 hours of paid or volunteer experience with youth groups
  • Ability to anticipate camper needs and solve problems effectively
  • Strong communication skills with parents, campers, and staff
  • Demonstrated leadership and sound judgment
  • Professional attitude combined with enthusiasm and energy
  • Ability to utilize positive guidance strategies
  • Ability to swim in deep water

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise daily camp activities for up to 60 elementary aged campers
  • Build positive relationships with campers, families, and staff
  • Actively participate in games, crafts, swimming, and field trips
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the camp environment
  • Support and collaborate with camp staff
  • Manage schedules, records, and supplies
  • Administer first aid and medications
  • Handle setup and takedown of camp equipment
  • Maintain consistent attendance and engagement
  • Adapt activities to meet campers' needs
