Job Requirements
- Must be available October 1st through April 1st
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
- Frequent walking, standing, and skating
- Ability to physically assist guests in case of falls or emergencies
- References will be checked
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years skating experience
- Preferred hockey experience
- Snow removal experience
- Must have own skates
- Prior customer service or recreation experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to stay calm and professional in a busy, public-facing environment
- Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Committed to guest safety, accessibility, and inclusion
- Ability to work in cold and warm weather conditions
- AED/CPR certified
- Reliable transportation in all types of weather
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Assist skaters safely on the ice
- Help guests who fall or need support while skating
- Provide information about rink rules, park amenities, and skating guidelines
- Observe skaters to encourage safe behavior and enforce rink policies
- Respond to incidents and report injuries or concerns to the Skate Host Leader or Operations Team
- Support cleanliness and organization in warming tents, rental areas, and guest zones
- Assist with crowd control and guest flow during peak times on the ice
- Participate in special events and group programs during the winter season
- Help create a fun, inclusive, and festive atmosphere during themed or high-traffic sessions
- Complete other job responsibility and duties as assigned
