Job Requirements

  • Must be available October 1st through April 1st
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
  • Frequent walking, standing, and skating
  • Ability to physically assist guests in case of falls or emergencies
  • References will be checked
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years skating experience
  • Preferred hockey experience
  • Snow removal experience
  • Must have own skates
  • Prior customer service or recreation experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in a busy, public-facing environment
  • Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Committed to guest safety, accessibility, and inclusion
  • Ability to work in cold and warm weather conditions
  • AED/CPR certified
  • Reliable transportation in all types of weather

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude
  • Assist skaters safely on the ice
  • Help guests who fall or need support while skating
  • Provide information about rink rules, park amenities, and skating guidelines
  • Observe skaters to encourage safe behavior and enforce rink policies
  • Respond to incidents and report injuries or concerns to the Skate Host Leader or Operations Team
  • Support cleanliness and organization in warming tents, rental areas, and guest zones
  • Assist with crowd control and guest flow during peak times on the ice
  • Participate in special events and group programs during the winter season
  • Help create a fun, inclusive, and festive atmosphere during themed or high-traffic sessions
  • Complete other job responsibility and duties as assigned
