Job Requirements
- Frequently operate cash registers
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs
- Ability to place or remove merchandise up to heights of 5-10 feet
- Frequently ascend and descend ladders to retrieve or put away stock
- Ability to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop frequently
- Communicate effectively face-to-face and by telephone
- Move across the sales floor and stock room as needed
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and possible overnight shifts
- Ability to understand instructions regarding merchandise layouts and associate schedules
- Remain in a stationary upright position for 80 percent of the time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- Good communication skills to engage with customers
- Ability to handle customer interactions and resolve issues professionally
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge
- Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience
- Resolve customer concerns courteously and professionally
- Communicate needs to management regarding restocking and customer feedback
- Support team and company goals by collaborating in a positive work environment
- Operate cash registers and handle merchandise frequently
