Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs
- Ability to frequently ascend and descend ladders
- Ability to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop regularly
- Ability to remain stationary in an upright position for about 80 percent of the time
- Strong communication skills for exchanging accurate information with customers, coworkers, and managers
- Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to identify and follow printed and email instructions related to merchandise layouts and operations
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
- Comfortable with or willing to learn use of technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage customers
- Ability to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
- Basic problem-solving skills using information-gathering techniques
- Ability to learn and apply procedural knowledge through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and offering recommendations
- Promote store events and promotions to drive sales
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and seek alternatives to returns
- Communicate needs and feedback to management timely
- Support team and company goals by collaborating effectively
- Frequently operate cash register and manage merchandise stocking
