Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift
- Capability to handle bulky or awkwardly shaped items, sometimes lifting above the head
- Ability to regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
- For stock and fulfillment roles: ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items of all size, handling bulky items and ensuring a seamless and friendly experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Create a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
- Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
- Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide general support to the store such as setting up special events, organizing backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures
