Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules in English
- Must meet daily sales goal challenges
- Comfortable handling electronic devices
- Resourceful and adaptable to changing priorities
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift at least 25 pounds, and perform tasks involving stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level
- Good vision including color and depth perception
- Frequent use of computers and handheld equipment for job functions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate point-of-sale systems
- Positive attitude with a passion for selling and customer service
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Greet customers with a warm welcome and engage in friendly conversations
- Assist customers by understanding their needs and providing personalized product recommendations
- Maintain and organize the sales floor by merchandising new arrivals and processing damages
- Update signage and pricing to ensure accurate information is displayed
- Operate electronic devices including cash registers to process transactions
- Support team members to foster a collaborative work environment
- Achieve daily sales goals while promoting Macy's Loyalty program
