Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours per shift
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, flex, and reach frequently
- Capability to handle bulky, heavy, or awkwardly shaped items including lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally for stock support roles
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate point-of-sale technology and other in-store systems
- Ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items of all size, and ensuring a seamless and friendly experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Create a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
- Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
- Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer’s orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide general support to the store such as setting up special events, organizing backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures
