Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds for stock and fulfillment roles
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods

- Accountability, initiative and high levels of ownership
- Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

- Physical ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours and handle merchandise
Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is merchandised and straightened throughout the day
- Assist customers during cashiering with a variety of transactions across in-store, online and mobile platforms, operating point-of-sale systems and providing a friendly experience
- Support fitting rooms by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
- Keep stockrooms organized, ensure merchandise is properly checked in and ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies
- Adhere to operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
- Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders promptly following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide general support such as setting up special events, organizing backrooms, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures
