Job Requirements

Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
Stock and fulfillment roles require frequently lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Ability to operate point-of-sale systems and related technology
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Basic knowledge of inventory management is a plus
Ability to follow store policies and procedures

Job Duties

Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including operating a point-of-sale system and bagging items
Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
Create a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
Provide general support to the store such as setting up special events, organizing backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures
