Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior retail or customer service experience preferred but not required
- ability to operate point-of-sale systems and customer transaction platforms
- capacity to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities
- physical ability to meet the demands of the job including lifting and moving merchandise
- flexible availability to work varied shifts including weekends holidays and peak periods
- willingness to support multiple store departments as needed

- physical ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift including frequent bending twisting squatting flexing and reaching
- frequent use of hands for grasping fine manipulation pushing and pulling
- ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items and lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally for stock roles
Job Duties
- work with the team to ensure the sales floor stays runway ready and is sized and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including in-store online and mobile while operating a point-of-sale system and ensuring a seamless and friendly experience
- create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- adhere to all operational merchandise and asset protection standards
- promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
