Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively
- Capable of physical tasks including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, grasping, pushing and pulling
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds for stock and fulfillment roles
- Flexible availability to work varied shifts
- Must be legally authorized to work
- Ability to adhere to store policies and operational procedures

Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items, handling bulky and heavy items, and ensuring a seamless experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Keep the salesfloor clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing
- Maintain organized stockrooms, ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies
- Adhere to operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
- Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders with quality, packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide general support such as setting up special events, organizing backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures
