Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in fine-dining, upscale dining, or high-volume kitchen environments
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • strong verbal communication skills
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
  • availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during peak seasons

Job Duties

  • Coordinate the flow of dishes from kitchen stations to service staff with accuracy and urgency
  • ensure each plate meets strict quality, presentation, and temperature standards before leaving the line
  • maintain clear, calm communication between chefs and servers to ensure timely and accurate order execution
  • prioritize and organize tickets to maintain a consistent pace of service
  • help facilitate special requests, dietary modifications, and guest allergies with careful attention
  • keep the expo line clean, stocked, and service-ready throughout shift
  • prepare ingredients according to fine-dining recipes and specifications, including knife cuts, sauces, stocks, and mise en place
  • follow strict food safety, sanitation, and storage guidelines
  • label, date, and organize prep items to maintain accurate inventory and minimize waste
  • assist chefs with basic cooking and production tasks as needed
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces
