Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in janitorial, events, hospitality, or related fields preferred
  • Ability to lift and move at least fifty pounds consistently
  • Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours including early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs or ladders
  • Capable of working in various weather conditions
  • Must follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to operate lightweight groundskeeping equipment
  • Willingness to work at multiple locations including other WCS facilities

Job Qualifications

  • Prior janitorial or events, conference services, hotel, banquet, or restaurant experience preferred
  • Flexible availability including day shift and night shift hours, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Ability to work independently and/or within a team with limited supervision
  • Strong customer service skills preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Work at a fast pace and coordinate multiple projects while assisting the catering events and culinary team in the set-up for all events according to the customizations specified on the Banquet Event Order
  • Gather, transport, set up, break down, and store event equipment
  • Fill pull sheet orders to gather equipment needed for specific events
  • Load and unload supplies safely to and from appropriate vehicles and transport to the location of the events
  • Set up equipment including tables, chairs, dancefloor, linens, food service equipment, china, glassware, etc
  • Assist in bussing and running food, clearing and replenishing food items during events
  • Set up, run, break down, and clean up Sanit area during larger events
  • Wash dishes and pots for events that require it
  • Remove debris and empty trash receptacles from event space
  • Perform general cleaning and sanitation of event space, kitchen, sanit, dish room, restrooms, storage areas, carts, etc
  • Operate lightweight groundskeeping equipment including leaf blower and pressure washer
  • Perform deep cleaning of equipment, walls, floors, vents, ceilings, vehicles, etc as assigned
  • Assist in inventorying, cleaning, and organizing all equipment
  • Break down all equipment at the conclusion of events and ensure all items are put away and the event space is cleaned
  • Follow safe storage, service, and sanitation practices
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management
