Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work morning shifts with flexibility
  • Ability to handle knives and kitchen machinery safely
  • Must be able to stand for 100% of the shift
  • Ability to work in environments with extreme temperatures
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to push and pull equipment weighing up to 250 lbs occasionally
  • Must have basic English speaking and comprehension skills
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive motions and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pastry cook or in a similar culinary role
  • Strong knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of Spanish pastry techniques is a plus
  • Ability to work morning shifts with flexibility
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional growth
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Ensures quality by properly rotating perishable and non-perishable products
  • Helps maintain food costs by limiting kitchen waste and using products efficiently
  • Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
  • Prepares all food items consistently and as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Observes and tests food to determine if cooked properly
  • Regulates temperature of cooking equipment necessary to perform the job
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
