Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
- must be able to see clearly at distances of 20 feet and at close range
- must be able to communicate effectively
- ability to handle exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold
- ability to reach heights of 6 feet and depths of 2.5 to 3 feet
- must have mobility and flexibility in assigned workspace
- must be able to read, write and perform basic math
- ability to control fingers for writing, slicing, chopping and operating equipment
- must fit through openings 30 inches wide
- ability to work irregular hours including busy, stressful times
- ability to bend, reach, walk, carry trays up to 50 pounds for 30 feet
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- exposure to dish and cleaning chemicals
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare bakery items according to Perkins standards and specifications
- label and date all trays of baked items
- observe proper food storage procedures
- ensure high standards of food safety
- set up and maintain bakery display cases using proper merchandising techniques
- clean and sanitize bakery cases, equipment, pans and utensils
- portion products accurately following recipes
- utilize FIFO standards when preparing items
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, coolers and storage
- follow safety procedures and policies concerning food handling, rotation and storage
- conduct line sweeps and 'clean as you go' throughout shifts
- understand OSHA requirements and health department standards
- communicate with management and team regarding product, service and safety issues
- assist team members with prep, washing and restocking
- assist front-of-house staff with bakery case cleanliness
- provide guest service in cooperation with front-of-house staff
