Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous office experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to work under general supervision
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with county driving policies if driving is required
Job Qualifications
- General knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, or in written form
- Working knowledge of simple mathematics
- General knowledge of computer software systems
Job Duties
- Answer phone calls and refer to appropriate personnel
- Greet patrons and assist with shelter transactions
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other materials
- Operate typewriter or computer to prepare correspondence, messages, and forms
- Compile messages and phone call logs for tracking purposes
