Job Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and assigned shifts
- ability to tolerate exposure to inclement weather, high humidity, extreme temperatures
- able to work both inside and outside, occasionally exposed to pollen, mold, dust, dirt, and temperature variations
- able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- able to work near exotic and domestic animals
- must wear required protective clothing and equipment
Job Qualifications
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- excellent customer service skills with ability to create positive face-to-face interactions
- problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- customer service or special events experience preferred
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
Job Duties
- Assist the Marketing team with event implementation
- use annual event plan to execute and finalize upcoming events
- communicate with Events Coordinator for clarification or resolution
- follow event forms and itineraries to lead an event from open to close
- coordinate admission, experiences, community partners, vendors, volunteers, and entertainment during events
- confirm entertainment/vendors and manage communication, invoices, and payments
- maintain communication with all zoo departments to provide the best visitor experience
- complete administrative tasks for events
- act as point person confirming week of event readiness
- attend event days and manage facilitation of all activities
- assist in sourcing, managing, and organizing event supplies and decorations
- maintain outstanding customer service
