Job Description
The Vineyards Apartments is a residential community located conveniently at Butler Hill and I-tt, offering residents a comfortable and engaging living environment with a range of amenities. One of the key attractions for residents is the community pool, where residents can relax, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors during the warmer months. Job Requirements
- Must be lifeguard certified or become certified
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and correspondence
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents and team members
- Must be physically able to walk, stand, sit, swim, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move a person in the water using rescue equipment
- Must have good vision including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications
- Lifeguard certification required
- General first aid knowledge is a plus
- One to three years of experience in a lifeguard position and/or pool maintenance is a plus
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Job Duties
- Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours
- Regularly treat the pool with the correct amount of chemicals
- Remains at the pool and closely monitors activities, identifying any safety issues
- Insures pool rules and guidelines are being followed
- Directing swimmers out of water in dangerous conditions
- Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure guests remain safe
- Maintain a clean pool environment
- Folds and stores chairs and umbrellas at sundown
- Picks up rubbish in the pool area
- May participate in draining, cleaning, and refilling the pool and changing pool filters
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed
