Job Duties
- Direct the dispatch of transportation equipment according to the Linehaul plan
- ensure Linehaul dispatch and arrival rules compliance following company procedures
- coordinate cargo shipments to maximize trailer volume while meeting delivery obligations
- enter dispatch events into the transportation management system to ensure timely delivery and pickup of trailers
- verify equipment location by conducting yard inventories
- verify trailer load/unload status through yard checks and report missing equipment timely
- follow and communicate safety initiatives to promote a safety-conscious culture
- investigate and report schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures
- implement contingency plans to ensure on-time load delivery in cases of breakdowns or accidents
- review and communicate Department of Transportation roadside violations to management
- coordinate with safety and maintenance departments to monitor tractor safety inspections and ensure DOT compliance
- review trailer load condition reports to ensure proper completion
- perform other duties as assigned
