Job Duties

  • Direct the dispatch of transportation equipment according to the Linehaul plan
  • ensure Linehaul dispatch and arrival rules compliance following company procedures
  • coordinate cargo shipments to maximize trailer volume while meeting delivery obligations
  • enter dispatch events into the transportation management system to ensure timely delivery and pickup of trailers
  • verify equipment location by conducting yard inventories
  • verify trailer load/unload status through yard checks and report missing equipment timely
  • follow and communicate safety initiatives to promote a safety-conscious culture
  • investigate and report schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures
  • implement contingency plans to ensure on-time load delivery in cases of breakdowns or accidents
  • review and communicate Department of Transportation roadside violations to management
  • coordinate with safety and maintenance departments to monitor tractor safety inspections and ensure DOT compliance
  • review trailer load condition reports to ensure proper completion
  • perform other duties as assigned
