Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in indoor and outdoor environments
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds and team lift up to 60 pounds
  • willingness to work flexible hours based on event schedules
  • seasonal availability from late March through November
  • prior experience in food preparation or kitchen environments
  • full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Follow the provided daily prep lists to execute all food preparation including making sauces cooking food items and prepping food items such as measuring and portioning ingredients washing produce chopping vegetables cutting meat and poultry according to the recipe
  • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards including proper handling and storage of ingredients
  • Know and follow proper food handling techniques such as time and temperature raw items safety sanitation
  • Ensure the safety of the kitchen by following safety procedures checking equipment for safety hazards and reporting any hazards to management promptly
  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth workflow and timely preparation of dishes
  • Work at offsite events as scheduled including cooking and plating appetizers salads entrees and desserts while ensuring food and team safety standards are met
  • Be ready to assist in various tasks such as receiving deliveries organizing storage areas and other kitchen related responsibilities
  • Keep track of inventory levels rotate stock and notify the chef or manager when supplies are running low
  • Safely transport food and service items manage van cleanliness perform basic maintenance tasks such as refueling minor repairs and notify the team of any service needs
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean safe working environment and promptly alert management of any unsafe food practices or potential safety issues
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
