Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to remain stationary and maneuver
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead
  • Ability to operate telephone
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must consent to annual MVR checks
  • Qualified individuals must be able to perform essential duties with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to operate telephone
  • Ability to access and produce information from the computer
  • Ability to understand written information
  • Possess good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules
  • Experience working with volunteers preferred

Job Duties

  • Contact all store managers to verify or seek permission to guarantee access to kettle sites
  • Contact made by phone, letter, or in person
  • Check all the kettle equipment to make sure it is in good shape and ready to go
  • Maintain kettle equipment
  • Ensure kettles, kettle stands, bells, and aprons are always clean and in good condition
  • Order additional equipment if necessary
  • Assist with advertising for bell ringer volunteers in newspapers and radio
  • Deliver stands and signs to kettle sites a week prior to scheduled start date
  • Conduct orientation meetings with all kettle workers and new volunteers
  • Fully responsible for bell ringer scheduling process
  • Match bell ringers with productive sites
  • Discuss problems and answer questions from bell ringers
  • Use personal vehicle to transport empty and full kettles with mileage reimbursement
  • Ensure Kettle Slips with ringer info are in each kettle
  • Input kettle amounts and data into Register to Ring database
