Job Requirements
- Must be available to work all dates during the Florida State Fair February 5-16, 2026
- must attend two training sessions prior to the fair
- good attendance is expected
- able to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, talk, hear
- able to occasionally lift or move objects 10-20 pounds
- must comply with drug-free workplace policies
- must be willing to work in a retail museum environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED
- minimum of one year of experience in cashiering and cash handling
- minimum of one year of customer service experience
- familiarity with cash and credit card transactions
- exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- ability to use a computer and modern cash register technology
- experience in a specialty gift shop or museum store environment is a plus
Job Duties
- Completing sales of merchandise using computerized transaction systems
- assisting with stocking merchandise
- providing customer service and addressing customer inquiries
- performing light cleaning of the work area to maintain a tidy environment
- attending and participating in mandatory training sessions before the fair
- being available to work all scheduled dates during the Florida State Fair
- maintaining good attendance and punctuality throughout the fair period
